The bloom is the protective outer coating that is naturally on the egg just laid. This bloom seals the pours on the shell and keep all the bad stuff out and all the goodies inside.
The bloom helps the eggs to stay fresh longer than store bought eggs. These eggs can be stored safely at room temperature for up to a week or more.
If you store these beauties in the fridge they will stay fresh for up to 6 weeks!

About our hens:
Our chickens are pasture raised and supplemented with soy-free, antibiotic-free, and hormone-free grains.
They are raised on grass in a protective mobile chicken coop that is moved to fresh grass every 1 or 2 days. Every morning the chickens are released to roam pastures. Every evening they put themselves to bed in the coop. Their coop door is closed at night for safety.
