Written By Abby, 2/9/20:
“Everyone who knows my horse calls him the potbelly pig. He is a very easy keeper to say the last, but I knew he didn't get all the nutrients he needed through pasture along. I knew I wanted a feed that had the vitimins, minerals and proteins he needed, but not all the added calories and starches. My horse has been on NCO's low starch feed for about 3 weeks now. I can already tell a difference. His old man beer gut is is becoming smaller and his under belly looks tighter. His main is looking much better. It use to be dull, have dandruff and be brittle. Now it is shinny, and stronger. The crack he has had in the toe of his back right hoof since the summer is closing up. I also feed a very low amounts. The feed also is great for gut health and helps coat the stomach. Protecting it from stomach acid. At first my horse would not eat this feed. It took about two weeks before he would eat it regularly. So do not get discouraged if your horse doesn't eat it at first.”
